Since 2017, we have trained approximately 75 teachers. Our aim is to develop the competence of community school teachers in terms of planning, teaching methodologies, assessment and resource development. The emphasis is on modelling practical strategies for teaching Mathematics, English and computers.

TTCSZ was fortunate to receive over 50 story sacks made and donated by Childhood Studies students at the University of Huddersfield. Many sacks were kept as part of TTCSZ’s library resources, but each teacher on the 2019 training programme was also given a story sack to help them teach English to young children in their particular community school.
